Lambeth Country Show,
This weekend, all roads lead to the beloved Lambeth Country Show, which makes its grand return to Brockwell Park on Saturday, 7 June, and Sunday, 8 June, running from 1 pm to 9 pm each day. Now in its 51st year, the free festival is expected to draw up to 120,000 attendees, celebrating the rich tapestry of Lambeth’s community spirit, culture, and creativity.
Activities range from traditional sheep shearing and owl displays to quirky vegetable sculpture competitions and live performances by local talents, like the South London Choir and Segatastic Dancers. The Main Stage will feature performances by Loose Ends, YolanDa Brown, and afro-punk collective Steam Down on Saturday, while Sunday’s “Roots Day” will spotlight reggae legends Aswad and Johnny Osbourne.
