He Changed Brixton Forever—Join Us to Celebrate His Legacy 🎤❤️

Benedict TY Chijioke, a rapper, poet, mentor, and community activist born and raised in Brixton, passed away in early May 2020 from COVID-19, leaving a huge hole in our community. Five years on, we remember and celebrate him. The Black Cultural Archives will host a free family event to celebrate TY, where friends, fans and neighbours will share memories and groove to his music. It’s a warm embrace of Brixton’s creative soul and community spirit – a chance to remember how TY’s uplifting words and activism still inspire Brixton and beyond.
